This conceptualised portrait series “Standing in the Shadows” has been a little project of mine at the end of 2012. I am often determining my own identity and discovered this technique which helps to express a part of my own habits. I have depicted various personas through each image of the series even though no people are abundant in the flesh. This represents the everyday moments we can have at any given time to stop and ponder our lives. I have chosen to process the series in black and white tonality because I feel it best displays the elongated shadows from direct light I had waited many days for each shoot.
